Cloughmore (The Big Stone) and incredible views across Carlingford Lough
The Cloughmore Experience
Prepare to be marvelled by epic views and fascinating insights in the company of local adventurer and guide, Peter Rafferty, on a guided walk/hike through a visually stunning landscape.
On this winding adventure that follows the Glen Stream, hear the sound of the bubbling water while embracing the wonders of nature. Along the way, learn how to identify the age and names of diverse rock types while nibbling on edible wild plants as you share the great outdoors with native bird and wildlife, including red squirrels. Once Cloughmore (The Big Stone) comes into sight, the landscape opens to reveal stunning vistas across Carlingford Lough. Breathe deep as you enjoy lunch in these beautiful surroundings before returning through an ancient Oak woodland that is said have inspired CS Lewi’ Narnia stories.
